Save the date: 1/12/12 (January 12, 2012). Let freedom sing!
Get ready to join the MUSIC BOMB...it's a Ron Paul moneybomb with a twist. Not only are we going to raise money for the campaign, but we're also going to get a liberty anthem to the top of the Billboard charts. Imagine hearing Ron Paul's name and message in song on American Top 40, or even on MTV....now that would be music to anyone's ears!
Jordan Page, a talented young singer-songwriter, has released a wonderful song called "The Light Of Revolution (Ron Paul 2012)", and it's truly beautiful; a song that the nation deserves to hear. One place you can preview and download the song is here: http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/jordanpage5. The song is also on iTunes. In an area when most popular songs are, shall we say, somewhat trivial and shallow, it'd be nice to see a song with such a meaningful, all-American message make it to the top again.
In order for the Music Bomb to work, a large enough number of people (preferably several hundred thousand) will have to download the song on January 12. If we can get enough downloads, we might not only get to #1 on the charts, but also set a world record for most downloads within a single day or week. The current record holder for most downloads in a week is Flo Rida, "Right Round", with 636,000. If we can exceed that number, we will not only have a guaranteed #1 hit the following week, but will also have set a record for the history books.
Of course, while Jordan Page needs your help so that he can keep spreading the message of freedom, Ron Paul himself does too of course. That's why, when you go to download the song (for the very low price of 99 cents; although you could download the song multiple times if you're feeling particularly determined), it'd also be worthwhile to contribute $1 or $5 to the Paul campaign at the same time. It's a music bomb and a money bomb...in one!
To show your commitment to participate on 1/12/12, just click the Facebook "Like" button, or the Digg button, at the top of the page. See you on the 12th!
Afterwards, you can click the "Send" button to tell your friends about the Music Bomb. Any help with getting the word out on Twitter, Myspace, etc., would also be very helpful. Or, post comments on Ron Paul-related news stories and blog entries and throw in a shout-out to the MUSIC BOMB 2012! Spread the word, any way you can.
DISCLAIMER: I am not Jordan Page, nor am I affiliated with or related to him, so no conflicts of interest here. I came up with the Music Bomb idea entirely on my own. Initially I wanted to record a song myself for the event, but then I discovered Page's tune on the internet, and his song is far higher quality than anything I could ever produce, so I decided to support his work instead. If you want to know what to call me, just call me Buzz Fisher. I'd like that.
UPDATE Dec. 20: There's currently another music bomb going on (using the song "Bombs" by Golden State). It goes from now until Christmas Day, and the idea is to download the song yourself and gift 19 copies the song for your friends. All proceeds go to the Revolution Super PAC. More information can be found here: http://itunesbomb.com/ At the time I came up with the idea for this bomb, I had no idea another one had already been planned; I guess great minds think alike. Oh well, twice the music for twice the liberty is never a bad thing!
UPDATE Jan. 7: Only five days left...share this with all your friends! We need everyone on board! Also, there's now another way to show that you'll be attending and to recruit new support: we have an event page on Facebook that you can RSVP to, and invite your friends to do likewise. It's here: http://www.facebook.com/events/259729074095040/
